What exactly
is this list?
The majority of pet foods on our list are pet foods that have
NOT been recalled since the start of the pet food recalls on March
16, 2007. However, because of the many emails we've had asking
why recalled foods are not on the list we list those brand names
as well.
How can
I tell which foods on the list have been recalled?
Recalled foods are highlighted like
this. There will also be a notation that they
have had recalls. Example:

Will you
tell me which foods have been recalled?
Other than making a notation that a brand has had a recall,
we will not list the specific recalls. Please visit the company
website or call the company to find out the exact products that
have been recalled.
Where do
you get your information?
We get the information directly from the pet food companies. You'll
see this indicated next to the brand name.
How often
do you update the list?
The list is updated when we obtain new information.
Is your
list 100% accurate?
Unfortunatey we cannot make any guarantees about the accuracy
of the information on the list. We are providing information that
the pet food companies give us.
Are all
pet foods listed on your website?
No, this is not a complete list of pet foods, nor is it a complete
list of pet foods that have not been recalled.
I emailed
you with information about a particular pet food. Why didn't you
add it to the list?
To ensure the accuracy of the list, as much as possible, we verify
everything with the pet food companies before we add it to the
list. If we are unable to obtain information from a company we
will not list them.
Why do
some brand names have more information than others?
We are putting out the information the pet food companies provide
us with. Some companies are not willing to release such information
as manufacturer, where their ingredients come from, etc.
Can you
tell me what is safe to feed my pets?
No. We will not make any suggestions as to what to feed your pets.
It is your responsibility to do your own research to find a pet
food that you feel is safe.
Are all
of the pet foods on your list nutritionally balanced and safe
for my pets?
We cannot make any claims about nutritional value and/or safety
of any of the foods on the list, as we have not personally tested
them in any way. Futhermore, what may be safe and effective for
one pet may not be for another, and nutritional needs may vary
from one pet to another. Please contact the pet food companies,
your veterinarian, or a pet nutritionist if you have questions
about how or what to feed your pets.
